What the scanner tells you

Not every scan starts or continues a trail. These are the messages a player meets most often, and what to do.

  1. The code has expired

Every trail is valid until a date set by the organiser. An expired START cannot be played — ask the organiser for a current one.

  2. Not a QRun code

Other QR codes (links, products) are ignored — nothing opens.

  3. A station of another trail

Two trails in one park? A station that is not part of your trail is shown as “Station without an active QRun” — nothing changes in your run; find your own trail’s station.

  4. Already answered

Each station counts once. Scanning it again changes nothing.

  5. One code, several trails

A checkpoint code carries a question for each trail that passes there; the app opens the one for yours.
